Trevose Horticultural Society’s Upcoming Meeting

Posted

"Wearable Garden” will be the featured topic of the Trevose Horticultural Society monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 21 at 7 pm at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road in Bensalem.

Kathleen Lang of Wearable Garden will demonstrate how to transform a silk scarf into eco printed wearable art using naturally found materials.  With convenient access to water and woodlands, some of Lang’s finds include seeds, leaves, berries and even metals that inspire Lang’s artistry.  Eco printing is a unique natural dyeing and printing technique, no ink or paints are used.

Kathleen Lang studied at Bucks County Community College with an emphasis in printmaking as a mid-life change of careers.  She has taught at various venues such as Grounds for Sculpture and Arts Council of Princeton. Through this she discovered Sustainable Eco-Printing on textiles.

All meetings are open to the public; all are welcome,  $5 to observe.  For further information, please contact 856-866-9163, visit www.trevosegardeners.org or visit them on Facebook.
