Learning that you or a loved one has a progressive visual impairment can be overwhelming. We are here to guide you throughout your vision loss journey.
As we celebrate our 80th anniversary in 2025, the Bucks County Association For The Blind And Visually Impaired (BCABVI) remains committed to ensuring that our clients have the resources and support they need to lead rich, vibrant, and independent lives.
BCABVI’s optometrist, Dr. Denise Wilcox, O.D., Ph.D, provides specialized eye examinations and personalized plans at our state-of-the-art Low Vision Clinic to help clients maintain their independence while living in their homes. Our Certified Low Vision Therapists offer white cane training, assistive technology training on the latest devices and aids in our tech room and in our clients' homes. We do not turn anyone away due to financial constraints.
As the only nonprofit organization in Bucks County dedicated to supporting our visually impaired and blind residents, BCABVI offers a wide range of services and programs designed to help our clients navigate life’s everyday challenges. These include in-person and virtual programs for clients to learn, connect, and share experiences, as well as in-home support that assists clients in managing their daily tasks.
Beyond our adult services, BCABVI provides preschool vision screening to over 5,000 preschool children each year, ensuring our youngest residents receive the best possible start in their developmental journey. We facilitate follow-up care and treatment for any potential eye issues.
