Plant a Seed awards annual scholarship

Posted

The Plant a Seed Inspire a Dream Foundation is thrilled to announce its annual scholarship awarded to sisters, Melina and Juliana from Bucks County, enabling them to pursue their passion for cheerleading. Both sisters have recently joined the All-Star squad and excel as honor role students at Bucks County Technical High School.

Melina beautifully encapsulated her love for cheerleading, expressing how it evolved from a casual activity to a profound passion. She shared, “Cheerleading has been my passion starting as a once a week commitment, and transforming into something I deeply cherish. It has become my second family, guiding me through life‘s challenges and motivating me to push beyond my limits. Cheer has not only helped me grow as an individual, but also allowed me to mentor young cheerleaders, witnessing their passion for the sport blossom. I credit cheer for shaping me into a team player and instilling in me the drive to strive for greatness.”

We are privileged to support Melina and Juliana on their journey to pursue their dreams.

In a heartwarming moment, Melina and Juliana were joined by Gene and Michele Rice from Upper Makefield, the founders of the charity, along with their six-year-old sister, Lex, who aspires to follow in their footsteps and become a cheerleader one day.

PAS provides annual scholarships for children ages 10 to 18, to pursue passions and interests outside of school. We connect young people from low-income households to life-altering athletic, artistic, musical and creative activities led by positive role models. The Plant a Seed Inspire a Dream Foundation serves the greater Philadelphia region and South Jersey. It is our hope to make a significant difference in the lives of children by encouraging their dreams.
