At Newtown United Methodist Church, we believe in creating a welcoming and loving community where everyone is valued and accepted. Whether you have been with us for years or are seeking a place to celebrate Easter for the first time, you are invited to journey with us through Holy Week as we reflect on Christ’s love, sacrifice, and the hope of new life.
Located in historic Newtown, our church has been a place of faith and fellowship since 1840. With deep roots in the community, we continue to provide a space where people can grow in faith, connect with others, and serve with purpose.
Join us for a meaningful Holy Week experience:
Palm Sunday | April 13 – 10 am Worship Service
Good Friday | April 18 – 7 pm Tenebrae Worship: The Service of Shadows
Easter Sunday | April 20 – 9 am Continental Breakfast | 10 am Worship Celebration
During the Easter service, children are invited to “Butterfly Blessings,” a special experience where they’ll explore the beauty of transformation, just like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, through fun activities and the story of Jesus’ resurrection.
Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to join us as we celebrate new life and hope.
