February fun at Free Library of Northampton Township

Join singer/songwriter, Mary Roth, as she performs “Enchanting Appalachia” on Saturday, February 8 at 1 pm (snow date February 15). Enjoy a musical journey of the rich culture of Appalachia and its people. Registration required.
“Philadelphia Inquirer” sportswriter and author, Mike Sielski, will be at the library in a conversation with Tom McCarthy on Wednesday, February 12 at 6 pm to discuss his new book, “Magic in the Air: The Myth, the Mystery, and the Soul of the Slam Dunk”. This is a free event; registration is required through the Newtown Bookshop’s website: https://www.newtownbookshop.com/.
The library is hosting English as a Second Language classes in partnership with the organization, Welcoming the Stranger. ESL classes are available on Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 6 pm and on Thursdays at 10 am. New Citizenship classes also take place at the library on Thursdays at 2 pm and 4 pm. For the Kids:
On Saturday, February 1 at 10:30 am, all ages are welcome to “Saturday Stories” for 30 minutes of stories, music and fun! No registration.
The Nor’Wester Therapy Dogs are here on Saturday, February 1 at 11 am for “Read to the Dogs”. A great time for kids Grades K-5 to practice reading. No registration.
Do you like to draw or doodle? The “Sketchbook Club” will focus on a different theme or art technique each month. The next meeting is on Tuesday, February 18 at 4:30 PM. Registration required. Grades 3+
“Dog Man Scavenger Hunt” at the library takes place January 21 - February 2 for all ages! Dog Man is part man, part dog, but all hero. Celebrate the release of the Dog Man movie with this fun event at the library.
